I followed this recipe, I was surprised how simple the tart actually was to make. It tastes lovely, the almonds give it a slightly marzipan flavour which works really well with the sweet, firm pears.
I think I overworked the pasty, and it did taste a bit stiff on the second day.
The fruit makes this tart perfect for summer, as it tastes light and fresh. It is best served with either cream or vanilla ice-cream.
